3. Report book - signed.

4. Thermometer

5. Tie

6. Maths Homework

Please remember to adhere to the school rules, and be warned that the teachers and discipline committee will be catching students who break the rules.

Ensure the following:

1. Hair is not dyed.

2. Hair is of acceptable length.

3. No colourful accessories

4. Socks must be of ankle length.

5. Nails are short and not painted.

You can refer to the school handbook if you're unsure of the school rules. I hope all of you have had a very gooooooood rest for the past month! See you on Monday.

addiction...

... to technology.

i realised that ever since i changed my phone, i've been checking my emails, facebook, and tweet many many times a day. i agree that having access to the internet made things a lot more convenient for me, because i can get to go online almost anytime i want, but somehow, i realise this urge to keep checking those applications are slowly sapping away my time and energy.

i used to enjoy the time spent with myself while travelling on the roads, appreciate nature while walking down the streets, and just simply living the moment. but now it's become a habit for me to just whip out my phone to go online unnecessarily, and totally neglect the things which are happening around me.

i also noticed that it's a trend for youngsters to listen to their mp3 every single available moment they have. be it while travelling, or walking for a short distance, or doing homework, or even when talking to people. have people become so dependent on music/noise that we fail to appreciate the natural sounds around us? have people become so dependent on the internet that we fail to connect/interact with people face-to-face?

i plan to stop myself from checking my emails and facebook unnecessarily from now onwards, because it's just an addiction. it doesn't help me in living a better life, nor helping others lead a better life.

we should never be slaves to technology, because our lives are made for a greater purpose.

How are you?

Dear 1E4,

Great to see some of you in school.

I hope you're enjoying your holidays so far! It's interesting how some of you complain that holidays are not fun. I can't wait to start mine. Hopefully after this week i can take a break and enjoy myself, meet up with friends, spend more time with family and go for a short trip overseas.

Remember to have as much fun as you can during this June! Responsible fun of course. :)
